Stolen Vehicle - White Honda Accord Anthony Umina Full from Eden Shores ˇ 1d ago Our white Honda Accord was stolen from right in front of our house between 5-7pm today while we were home. Ironically this exact car was stolen last week from south Hayward Bart station and recovered on Thursday. We just got the car back today from the shop around 3 or 4 pm and it was stolen again within 4 hours. Keep a tight eye out guys. It's quite insane the amount of break-ins, thefts and burglaries there are in the area. I'm shocked the HOA hasn't hired private security or maybe invested in making this a gated community at the roundabout on the west side of the bridge. The car was actually found that night in Richmond and ended up in a pursuit with the arrest of a guy that the police have been searching for for several months now. So I guess a positive for the situation. The first theft was at Bart station and car was found thrashed in oakland. Both times the ignition was punched so not someone with the key. |

I noticed my packaged didn't arrive although my tracking numbers reported they were delivered on 12/06/16, 2:09 PM. I checked our security camera footage and saw my packages delivered at 2:09 PM by UPS. Later around 3:00 PM a woman came to our doorstep and left running across our driveway with my two packages. She seemed to have come with a bottle of something, which I found to be a bottle of Solar Ray vitamins when I got home. The footage is not clear enough to see her face, so if anyone has footage from that day or has any knowledge of whoever is going door to door with these vitamins, please let me know. UPS confirmed delivery around 2:07 PM and by the time I got home it was gone. I checked my cameras and I saw a man in a black hoodie waltz up onto my doorstep and take it. You just feel so helpless to be stolen from like that. If anyone on Breaker Cir./Marshbrook Dr. have cameras and have footage recorded of today 12/7 please let me know. Marijuana grow houses in Eden shores Rey Balingcos from Eden Shores ˇ 11h ago 2 marijuana grow houses were discovered by the police in the last 18 mos. One in Crossings and one in the Bay Section of Eden Shores. So be vigilant and watch for signs. The one in Crossings was tipped off by a neighbor for the continuous sound of a generator in the garage and the other was found out because of a garage electrical fire because offenders were skewing the meter to steal electricity. Hi everyone my names Carmina and I joined this app to notify people who live here too about what happened yesterday night October 21st and early this morning October 22nd. I took my parents to the airport this morning around 3:30-4:00 am. Before that around 8 or 9 pm at night, my mom comes in the kitchen and just gives me the typical what to do around the place when they're gone and then she says " Try to be home before it gets dark everyday because just now outside when I was waiting for you to move the car out the driveway so that I can go in the garage there was this white suv with this guy in it offering me a free alarm saying his friend down the street got robbed." My mom also told me that this guy was calling her Aunty which was weird because she doesn't know him. Later around 3:30 am I go outside to get my car ready by warming it up and hosing it down because it was icy. I see a white suv driving towards Eden shores court but turns out instead onto tern. I feel like the people that were asking my mom about the alarm were the same people breaking into cars but I could be wrong.. I just wanna make sure everyone out there stays safe and aware especially now. I talked to Vince about it when my sister sent me the text and he said these guys even got into his cars but didn't take anything. I also talked to my neighbors who were outside after I talked to Vince so they can be aware too and could pass on the message. I hope this message is helpful and thanks so much for reading! The van had been at the location for about 30 minutes but as soon as I got out of my house and started to approach it, the driver started his van and took off. keep an eye out for this van. Ken Kinzler from Eden Shores ˇ 3h ago In my part of Eden Shores, it seems that one of the Waste Management trucks today was trailing glass debris. There is a pattern in the street at every stop they made to pick up the resident containers, glass is in the street. This is true for Driftwood Street and the immediate surrounding streets. Unfortunately, I noticed this after 5:00pm today and their customer service office is closed. I submitted a complaint via their on-line portal, and will call them tomorrow when they open at 8:00 (510-613-8710). I have also reported this to the City of Hayward (Access Hayward request #100684) with the hope they may pull some weight. While I just swept up the glass in front of my house, it is unacceptable for WMAC to leave this mess in the neighborhood. Anyone else want to also call Friday morning is welcome to, so that we get their attention for immediate action. FOLLOW-UP POST: So I called Waste Management Alameda County first thing this morning, and they made a report and forwarded me to their sub-contractor that does the recycling service for them in Eden Shores, Tri-Ced Recycling. They took all the same information and said they would pass on to management. Pleasantly surprised, I just received a call from the Tri-Ced route supervisor (Hazel) and she explained in detail the broken part on the truck, stated that she came out personally to inspect and agreed it was a big problem, and said they were here for two hours cleaning the streets "the best they could." I thanked her for the follow-up call and quick response. I have not driven the streets yet, but am encouraged by the responsible company's response to the situation. I got the key from my mailbox to open the shared mailbox (address is on northern cross road). Only to find a rock inside. I called the police. Just asked me file a report online. Are they going to do anything about it or will it just get lost in the electronic system. Recent homicides in Hayward 3h ago Antonio Puente from Hayward Police Department In the past thirteen days our community has experienced five homicides and our Police Department experienced an officer involved shooting. The severity and number of violent incidents in such a short period of time is unprecedented in our history. And although alarming, it is important to know, with the exception of two incidents, the remainder of these events are unrelated. Two of the recent homicides resulted in isolated family disputes. The first involved a brother shooting his own brother; the second involved a wife shooting her husband. The responsible party in both of these incidents was immediately arrested, and the cases have been cleared. The two incidents that occurred last weekend appear to have gang ties, and are possibly related to one another. These two cases are actively being investigated by our homicide and gang units. The officer involved shooting was related to a stolen vehicle and the attempted murder of a peace officer with a vehicle; both suspects in this incident were immediately apprehended. This case is not gang related, and there are no outstanding suspects. The latest incident involved a stabbing, which appears to be an isolated incident and has no links to any of the other recent activity. This case is also being actively investigated by our homicide unit. Keeping our community informed remains a top priority of the Police Department. In keeping with that commitment, we wish to ensure our community their police department is vigilantly working on solving the open cases, and remains committed to working in partnership with our citizens to make the City of Hayward a safe and cohesive community. An Open Letter to the Eden Shores, Board of Directors 2h ago Mario Alvarez from Eden Shores I've been noticing some homes being repainted, not necessarily the same color scheme used by the original builder. I've talked to a few neighbors who have painted their homes, and they have stated that they did not request HOA approval. There is one particular recent paint job that has their front and garage door painted in firehouse red. Another home has been entirely, painted only one color (lacking any trim). Furthermore, there are many homeowners who are tearing out their dead grass from their front yards and replacing it with all kind of colored rocks, cement, etc. Some of the finished product is appealing, others are not. Granted, it's a subjective judgement, but why isn't the the Eden Shores, Border of Directors, doing anything to communicate the community guidelines. And, is anyone from the HOA policing these projects and what, if anything, is the Board of Directors doing to prevent our community from deviating from our original high standards? Stolen Packages 26m ago I wanted to inform everyone of an incident. I came home on Monday morning to find a Macy's bag on my porch. Inside the bag was an empty USPS box and FedEx package. From all indications, it looks like someone stole these packages from two houses in Eden Shores and discarded the packaging on my porch. I'm in the process of informing the two individuals of their stolen packages. Takeaway: If at all possible, please have your packages delivered to your work. |

Damaged Stop Sign? 4d ago Dang Tran from Eden Shores I noticed a damaged stop sign near the corner of Eden Shores Dr. and Seadrift Circle. Does anyone know what happened? And more importantly, has the City or HOA been notified to repair the stop sign? It looks like maybe a vehicle hit it at a high speed as it's bent down a decent amount. I know there are security cameras at Marshbrook, maybe they picked up video of the incident. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, as it's a safety issue. This seems completely unnecessary to me, and there's only one that does it, others just pass by without a horn or additional noise. Suspicious Person 16 Mar Dang Tran from Eden Shores I caught this on our camera by our front door. My camera is a bit slow to activate, so, unfortunately, the video starts only when the person is already at my front door. What makes me suspicious is that he doesn't ring the doorbell, is sort of looking at (or through) the front window, and finally leaves after what appears to be a slight hesitancy. This could be completely innocent, but I just wanted to give everyone in the neighborhood a heads up just in case this person is casing homes in the neighborhood. Lost Dog? 12 Apr Dang Tran from Eden Shores Around 6:45pm tonight, Tuesday, April 12th, we were headed home from a friend's house and noticed this little guy near the intersection of Jetty Way and Eden Shores Drive. Had a collar on but looked lost. Tried to catch up to him to get the information on his collar, but he's a quick little bugger. I was able to snap a couple of photos of him. Delena Tran from Eden ShoresThis cat has been hanging around our street for a couple months. She approaches us and likes attention. When we first noticed her in August she appeared pregnant. She has slimmed down since but still hangs out in front of our house and goes into our garage from time to time. She even went inside our house once. The cat seems nice but my daughter is very allergic and scared. It has gotten to the point where she's afraid to play in our backyard. I looked into calling Animal Control but they don't pick up stray cats. I am worried the cat and her litter will continue to reproduce and create an unfriendly environment. Just came to check my mailbox on Marshbrook (near the pool) and see that 1/2 of the entire mailbox is open. Not sure if it was broken into or not locked. I don't know what was placed in the box today but there isn't much left. All we had left were flyers. For the 10 mailboxes there was only mail in 2
I'm gonna be as detailed as possible just because I feel like I explain things better that way. So thank you so much for understanding! 
Suspicious guy walking around this morning on Eden shores drive around 6:45am-7:30am. He asked my 10 year old niece where the pool is. That was creepy and scary for her. She was able to take a video of him and captured a photo.
